Talented, versatile and angelic: Cozi Costi is the proven hit songwriter and vocalist behind a string of pop and dance crossover tracks. Cozi is widely recognized for her sensitive but strong pop writing and beautiful delivery.
After being discovered and initially managed by Jamiroquai, Cozi has co-written with both some of the industry’s most successful artists and underground acts, on both independent and major labels. She co-wrote the Holly Valance chart hit ‘Naughty Girl’, which peaked at Number 3 on the Australian ARIA chart and Number 16 on the UK singles chart, as well as the album which went into top 10. Other artists she has written alongside include; Gold selling and award winning NABIHA, Wideboyz, SPIT, MOAM, Francesco Diaz, Carl Ryden, Booty Luv, Melanie Blatt, Phonejaxx, Random Music, Deborah Ffrench, Junior Caldera, Nina Woodford, Lucas ‘with the lid off’ Secon, Paul Harris, ATFC, Mike Polo, Tiger Lily, Alex Gaudino, Sucker DJs, Eddie Thoneick, Jerry Ropero, Random, Sunfreakz, Beatchuggers, Max Reich (Glider/Shapeshifters), Andrea Britton and of course several new artists signed to majors due for release in 2011.
In 2007, Cozi’s profile went to new heights after a number of key collaborations:
‘Fireworks’ with Sucker DJs was released on Toolroom Records in early 2007 and was not only a Buzz Chart Number 1 track but also gained heavy support from the likes of Pete Tong, Steve Angello, Sebastian Ingrosso, Axwell and Funkagenga. ‘Counting Down The Days’ by the Sunfreakz received the full remix treatment from Axwell, Funkagenda, Fonzerelli and was released in July 2007 on Positiva: it peaked at Number 37 in the UK sales charts and in top 10 in most club charts worldwide. Cozi’s collaboration with David Guetta; ‘Baby When The Light’ on his ‘Poplife’ LP, definitely took her to the next level. Written by Cathy Dennis and performed by Cozi, this was the opening track on the LP, as well as the second single, which took the worldwide charts by storm!
Cozi and Jerry Ropero’s track ‘The Storm’ (writing/vocal delivery) released on Positiva, was an instantly massive club track, gaining support from the likes of; Axwell, Sebastian Ingrosso, Steve Angello and many more.
Further success with club smashes such as Phonejaxx’s ‘Sensual’ (writing/vocal delivery, released on Ultra rec./Positiva), Cozi’s own single “Stamina” (writing/vocal delivery) and “Perfect Moment” Thoneick, Diaz & Young.
Rebels (writing/vocal delivery) have made Cozi a star in the dance arena doing PA’s all over the world. So far in 2011, she has performed in Ukraine, Estonia, Austria, Miami, Istanbul, Chile, Russia, and she has an upcoming tour in Brazil.
