Matt Darey first appeared on the international music scene soon after graduating as a bachelor of arts in the UK. Right after graduating he was snapped up by Seymour Stein of Sire records NYC, the man who signed Madonna and various other iconic players in the music industry. Matt soon became a pioneer of electronic dance music and was making music that was both huge on the underground whilst at the same time making tracks that were crossing over into the mainstream charts. He wrote and produced numerous hits including top ten hits like "Beautiful". Other Iconic tracks which Matt penned, produced or remixed included number one tracks "Till I come" by ATB, Gabriel's "Rise", Binary Finary's 1998, Moloko's "Time is now" and so many more including his latest remix of US rock band 30 Seconds to Mars. Matts music went on to influence 2 generations of the worlds finest EDM talent including Armin Van Burren who one said it was Matts "Li Kwan" project that got him into the scene, Others like Paul Oakenfold, Tiesto and Above and Beyond all driven at some stage of their careers by Matts innovative productions or indeed his personal guidance.

Matt then went on to mix the best selling Euphoria series of compilation with over 3 million albums sold in the UK alone. This was just the first of many compilation series mixed by Matt, one of which was his own brand, the Nocturnal series on Koch records USA and Black Hole in the Netherlands. Often described as one of the original podcast pioneers of the global dance scene, Matt Darey is on the cusp of cult status. He His Nocturnal radio show has over 500,000 subscribers to his weekly podcast and an estimated 3 million listeners tuning into his syndicated radio show on the 15o fm stations worldwide, Matt Darey and his Nocturnal show have become a global brand. He consistently showcases a wonderful blend of electro, progressive house, breaks and trance. Long renowned for bringing a truly international and unique flavor to his sets, Matt has become an influence on music and fans through his touring, radio shows, social media outlets and his own original tracks. Its true that Matt's touring schedule has grown over the last few years, but he still makes sure when he has a chance to go home, he is back at his studio, which has virtually become ground zero for Matt's creative process which includes new music and productions.

In the summer of 2012 Matt released his 17 track artist album with the world biggest electronic music label Armada Music entitled BLOSSOM & DECAY. ‘Blossom & Decay’ is the culmination of all Matt's years of playing, producing and writing music. His passion for the groove, his inate feel for melody and love for deep progressive music are clearly evident from the first opening song. The album was a well planned musical journey with ups , downs, the ever present beat and great songwriting. Featuring vocals by incredible singers such as Kate Louise Smith, Leah, Ashley Tomberlin, Kirsty Thirsk, Sir Adrian and others. For the last 18 months since his last world artist album tour, Matt has been busy working in the studio on pioneering new sounds looking ahead and refusing to follow the rest of the EDM crowd.
